DCS Services LP

DCS Services LP is one of the newer companies within the Moose Cree Group of Companies. The company originated in 2016 for the purpose of bidding the Site Services Contract at the Kirkland Lake Gold mine site (formerly Detour Lake Gold) northeast of Cochrane, Ontario. The company began work at the mine site in 2016 with 14 staff and very little mobile equipment. The initial focus of the company was to provide a service associated with the site services such as mobile fueling, fuel farm management, road maintenance (winter, summer), waste management, freight deliveries around the mine site and so on.

Today, the company employs more than 50 employees, with a significant fleet of mobile equipment and has expanded to the management of water treatment plant operations, high pressure washing, a full service onsite mechanical shop, winter road building, yearly site reclamation, land clearing, exploration road building, and bridge installations.

The company has seen considerable growth over the past few years. One of the most significant accomplishments for the company is that it boasts one of the best safety records on the mine site, thanks to a “very dedicated group of employees.” DCS Services LP is considered to be a resident business Partner at The Detour Mine Site, and is extremely proud to be one of Kirkland Lake Golds only stand alone 100% owned Indigenous Companies.
